\\\\\-------------------About This theme------------------

This theme wasn't designed to be flashy and over dependent on graphic's. This theme was designed for the network at my office. Its designed for the 2 former Linux users and myself and others. This theme is prefect for your work environment because its not so flashy that it totally confuses other coworkers and frustrates them. This is the problem with most LiteStep themes. We can't use them at work where multiple people use the same computer. This is a Network theme. You'll notice that when you go through the configuration options I've added. Its based for Windows 2K. While this theme does use some visual clues from the pro version of Win XP, that's the extent of it. This theme is very stable, and fast. Uses only basic modules. This theme is fully resolution independent. If you are wondering what happens when the tasks reach the end of the task bar, they form a second row. You can toggle the start button on and off. For awhile I didn't want to put it there, but about 8 of you told me I should have a start button. So you can turn it off or on if ya want. There are plenty of icons to chose for the desktop and fastlaunch bar. :) The Help button on the desktop links to the LS Online Documentation. This is Beta Release 1. Once I get this setup at work, and tweak it after a few weeks and more functions, I may make a Beta 2 release. But I promise it won't look like Luna. :)

\\\\\-------------------Installation Notes------------------

Installing this theme is fairly simple, all you have to do is extract the 2kpro.zip file to the \LiteStep\Themes\ dir.

Copy your Step.rc file from the \2kpro\ dir and paste it to your \LiteStep\ dir.

Then recycle and you're done.

\\\\\-------------------Setting up Desktop Icons------------------

Ok, if you want to create a Desktop icon its fairly simple. There are a lot of already made desktop icons in the \2kpro\images\desktop\ folder.
Go there and select one you'd want to use, lets use the Hard Drive shortcut in this example.

I picked out my image, its hd.bmp, the selected image is hdsel.bmp. (Note for quick reffernce, the selected image is the same as the normal with the lets s e l added to the end.)

Now I'm going to create a line in the Shortcuts.rc file under the desktop section , it will look like this

*Shortcut "Hard Drive" 3 -150 desktop\hd.bmp .none desktop\hd.bmp #1 C:\

It should now appear on my desktop right above where the start button would be.

\\\\\-------------------Changing the Quick Launch------------------

Ok so you want to change the fastlaunch? Ok well lets look at it shall we...

*Shortcut "Music Player" -258 -40 shortcuts\music.bmp shortcuts\music_sel.bmp .none #2T "$music$"
*Shortcut "Instant Messenger" -240 -40 shortcuts\chat.bmp shortcuts\chat_sel.bmp .none #2T "$chat$"
*Shortcut "Broswer" -222 -40 shortcuts\broswer.bmp shortcuts\broswer_sel.bmp .none #2T "$browse$"
*Shortcut "Check Email" -204 -40 shortcuts\mail.bmp shortcuts\mail_sel.bmp .none #2T "$email$"
*Shortcut "Schedule" -186 -40 shortcuts\schedule.bmp shortcuts\schedule_sel.bmp .none #2T "$Scheduled$"
*Shortcut "Paint" -168 -40 shortcuts\paint.bmp shortcuts\paint_sel.bmp .none #2T "$paint$"
*Shortcut "Windows Media Player" -150 -40 shortcuts\wmp7.bmp shortcuts\wmp7_sel.bmp .none #2T "$wmp$"

The best thing to do is to edit these, rather than create your own, becuase the X and Y cord are asboulte.

Say i want to change Broswer into MSN Explorer, well I looked under \2kpro\images\shortcuts\ and MSN is msn.bmp

I will edit Broswer to look like this
*Shortcut "Broswer" -222 -40 shortcuts\msn.bmp shortcuts\msn_sel.bmp .none #2T $msn$

I will create $msn$ and define that in the paths.rc file.
